Dr Christos A. Tezas is Associate Professor of Philosophy in the
Department of Philosophy, Education and Psychology at the University of Ioannina,
Greece. He was born in Oresceia (Nigrita,
Serres) in 1941 and he was educated at the
University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1960-1965), at the University of
Kiel, Germany (1977), and at the University of Leeds, England (1983-1984). He
has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge, England (1991) and
at the University of Jena, Germany (1994).
He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of
Ioannina in 1986. He has taught in the University of Ioannina since 1973, and
mainly since 1986: Assistant in the School of Philosophy 1973, Lecturer in the
Department of Philosophy, Education and Psychology 1987, Assistant Professor
1991, and Associate Professor 1998.
His research field is Ancient Greek Philosophy and Modern Greek
Philosophy. From 1991 to 1998 he has served as editor of Dodone,
Part Three (Scientific Yearbook of the Department of Philos., Educ., and Psychol.)
Scholarships: IKY (1960-1965), DAAD (1977).
He is member of Greek Philosophical
Society; International Association for Greek Philosophy; Society for
Aristotelian Studies "The Lyceum"; Historical
Society of Serron and Melenikou (Athens), etc.
